Adventure awaits children of all ages at the Park District. Offering introductory level courses in athletics, performing arts, martial arts, arts & crafts and more, we have extra-curricular activities to satisfy all of Des Plaines' youth. In addition to specialty courses such as sailing, golf and dance the Park District works closely with School District 62 to provide fun recreation alternatives when school is out of session.
Providing safe places for our youth and teens to meet their friends and engage in healthy activities is a goal of the Park District. Whether it is through supervised overnight outings, jr. high dances, organized sports, school day off trips, or open game room we continually work to meet the needs of both parents and their older children.
Positive self-esteem, better school grades, and smart lifestyle choices are just three of the benefits that participation in a park district program can offer the youth and teens of our community.
