The Des Plaines Teen Center, open to area teens of junior high & high school age, is a joint venture of the Des Plaines Park District, Des Plaines Youth Commission, the Mayor's Office and the Healthy Community Partnership. Since opening in the fall of 2004, the Teen Center has been an inviting, fun and safe place teens can call their own.

Operating on a drop-in schedule, teens are invited to come and go as they please while abiding by a set of guidelines created by their peers. Admission is free for Des Plaines residents. In addition to drop-in access, the Teen Center offers a variety of special events and sports tournaments throughout the year.

By popular demand, The Des Plaines Teen Center now has extended hours for both the Game Room and Teen Center. Come check it out!

Membership
It's easy & free - just fill out a membership form, have a parent or guardian sign it and return to the Teen Center staff on your next visit. In addition to free admission to drop-in at the Teen Center, members also receive advance notice of upcoming events and a copy of the quarterly Teen Center newsletter The Buzz.

Get Involved!
Become of member of Teen Center Advisory Board and make your voice heard. The Teen Center is seeking teens in both middle and high school to serve on age specific advisory boards. Members will play a key role in planning upcoming events and making other important decisions affecting the Teen Center. Want to know how you can get involved?
