Wet & dry moorings are available at a cost of $80 per boat plus $1 per linear foot per season. Moorings are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Those with moorings from the previous year have priority.
All boaters must be at least 14 years of age or be accompanied by an adult. All rentals are arranged in the Clubhouse. Sailboat rentals require skipper's card certification.

The Des Plaines Park District offers both private and group sailing lessons each season. Focusing on the fundamentals including wind direction, knot tying and more. Call the Clubhouse at 847-391-5730 for current class offerings or check the latest issue of the Spectrum.
Lake Park is home to the Des Plaines Yacht Club, a group of sailing enthusiasts who meet regularly to discuss all things sailing. The Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Park District, hosts regattas on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings, in addition to the Annual Labor Day Regatta.
