Fishing is permitted on the shores of Lake Opeka. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, croppies and trout. All fishermen must have a Lake Park Pin or purchase a daily activities pass. Live bait is available at the Lake Park Clubhouse.

Lake Park features a beautiful sheltered picnic pavilion, which was a gift to the community from the Optimist's Club. The pavilion includes nine tables where you can host a family party, corporate outing or group picnic. Ther is a built in grill nearby.
