The Des Plaines Park District is hosting a public meeting to discuss the
renovation of the Sesquicentennial Park playground.  Work is scheduled
to begin in the fall of 2012, and the Park District is looking for your input.

Sesquicentennial Park is located at 255 Grove Ave., in Des Plaines. DPParks.org

As part of the design process, the public is invited to attend an informational
meeting,  June 19, 2012, at 6:00pm, in the David L. Markworth Board Room
at the Administrative & Leisure Center, 2222 Birch Street, Des Plaines, before

the regular meeting of the Park District Board of Commissioners. 847-391-5700.

Planned renovations include a new playground for kids 2–12 years of age,
with creative and interactive equipment, a safety surface, and ADA accessibility.
Additional park improvements include the installation of a new Rain Garden,
and upgrades to the existing Gazebo.

We hope you will take part in this meeting, to discuss this important project

for the children of our community.  If you cannot attend and have questions,

contact Paul Cathey, Superintendent of Parks & Planning, at 847-803-4653.
